Bar-Ilan University is the second largest university in Israel, with a student population of approximately 31,700 at the main campus in Ramat Gan, and at the four regional colleges operating under its auspices – in the Jordan Valley, in Safed, in the western Galilee and in Ashkelon.
Ben-Gurion University of the Negev was established in 1969 with the aim to bring development to the Negev, a desert area comprising more than sixty percent of the country. The University was inspired by the vision of Israel's first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, who believed that the future of the country lay in this region.
The College of Management Academic Studies (COMAS) brings together promising young Israelis – native-born and new immigrants; city dwellers and those from the periphery; young people from established homes and those from the periphery;
Galillee College - Israel, is a public, international management-training institution. The College gives advanced leadership, management and capacity building seminars to professionals coming from all over the globe. Our International Department offers a core curriculum of over a dozen programmes. Courses are assigned to one of ten academic departments: Agriculture; Business Administration; Education; Environment; Health; Human Resources; National Security; NGOs; Ports and Maritime Transport; and Tourism.
The dream of establishing a "University of the Jewish People" in the Land of Israel formed an integral part of the early Zionist vision. With the acquisition of the Gray Hill estate atop Mount Scopus, and the laying of the cornerstone for the university-to-be in 1918, the realization of the dream was on its way.
